Washington DC Rally for Chen Guangcheng

Rally on Behalf of Blind Human Rights Advocate
CHEN Guangcheng
Franklin Park
Washington, DC
Friday, November 11, 2011
Tomorrow: 11:00 am

Blind since infancy, CHEN Guangcheng is a human rights advocate and self-taught lawyer who has fought against human rights violations committed by local Chinese authorities against citizens of his village and near by towns and cities. Chinese authorities cracked down brutally on Mr CHEN after his investigation and exposé of forced late-term abortions and forced sterilizations performed on Chinese villagers who violated the One-Child Policy. Mr CHEN has been detained, disappeared, arrested, charged with crimes, spent over 4 years in jail, and is now under a strictly enforced house arrest along with his wife and daughter.¹ Through these years, Mr CHEN has endured torture, deprivation, disease, and beatings of every kind, and yet refuses to give in to the demands of Chinese authorities.

Say NO the China's inhuman treatment of a simple blind man and his family

Momentum has been growing in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and in communities across Europe & the U.S. for the Chinese government to account for their inhumane treatment of Mr CHEN and his family.
